Here is what Nicole is really here to talk about....4 All Natural Remedies for Dry Skin!
Summer is here and while most are
thrilled, some are just not happy about it! While we are able to
enjoy beaches and bbq’s, these hot temperatures can easily affect
our health and skin - from dry skin to exhaustion.
Speaking of dry skin, it can actually
be prevented and repaired naturally.
Dryness is always unpleasant, causing symptoms of itchiness and
flakiness along with insecurity. Some of us even suffer all year
round. You’ll be pleased to know that you can find remedies in your
own home. Below are just a few of those natural home remedies.
Water - This might be a no
brainer, but I can’t stress enough how important drinking water is.
It helps keep our body hydrated (this includes our skin). Drink at
least 8 glasses a day for great health benefits and moisturized skin.
Oil - I know it might not sound
or feel pleasant, but slabbing some oil over your dry skin can work
wonders. The best oil options are olive, coconut, vegetable, avocado,
glycerin, peanut, and sunflower. I prefer olive oil - it is afterall
a main ingredient in many in-store moisturizers. Oh and please try to
use organic oils!
Honey with Sugar - This is one
of my favorite mixtures to exfoliate all those dead skin cells. It
leaves your skin glowing, soft, and sweet like honey! If you don’t
need an exfoliation, the honey alone works great as a moisturizer.
Oatmeal - Oats are an excellent
source of fiber and are amazing to soak in. Soothing beyond belief,
oatmeal baths treat itchy, dry, sensitive skin. Just like olive oil,
many skin products contain oatmeal for its benefits. It can even
treat your pet’s dry and itchy skin!
